Dear Friends of Boys Hope Girls Hope,

I write to you today from home. Like you, I have no idea of what to expect from one day to the next. It feels like we get up each morning and the world is a little different. What I do know is that the team here at BHGHCO is committed to providing as much stability as possible for our scholars and collegians during these unprecedented times.

Our Regis Jesuit HS scholars are doing online classes. Our Aurora Central HS scholars are starting to work online. Our program staff usually uses online tools to supplement our in-person programming, so we are well set-up to continue and enhance their online learning and one-to-one coaching.

Our seniors continue applying for outside scholarships and financial aid. Our juniors are engaged in an online test-prep course. All our scholars continue their online College Road Portfolio assignments with the guidance of program staff. We are in close communication with our scholars and families, and we are ready to help solve problems and provide guidance and support as needed.

BHGHCO is in contact with our collegians, as their colleges and universities switch to online class delivery. Everyone seems to be adjusting to their new normal.

I can also report that each day there is good news! We are now at that exciting part of the year when scholars are receiving college acceptance letters. Just over a week ago, Apshara was notified that she is a recipient of the prestigious Daniels Fund Scholarship, and Jessica has received an Impact Scholarship from the University of Colorado Boulder.

It does sometimes feel like we are disconnected and get bogged down by the bad news. If you want to see some good news, we post almost daily on Facebook or Instagram about scholar happenings.

We cannot thank all of you enough for the outpouring of concern for our scholars. Thank you for your phone calls, emails and continued generosity. We are very grateful.

Blessings for good health! Thank You!
