This summer, 7 of the Boys Hope Girls Hope scholars had the opportunity to go tent-camping in the Mummy Range of the Rocky Mountains.
For some, this was their first camping experience; this was their first time tasting a s’more; this was their first time they went on a hike; and this was the first time they have seen mountain wildlife. While hiking up to waterfalls, the scholars learned about the native flora and fauna. Did you know you can use Birch bark for sunscreen? Or that you can use a clump of Douglas Fir to brush your teeth? Grab one of our scholars and ask them what else they learned!
