It is the summer before my final year of college (Yea!) and I will be spending the majority of my time taking summer courses. After my courses are over, I plan on visiting Colorado a

nd my friends who live in Ohio.  Mostly though I will be working and having fun with my family. I transferred Junior year to University of North Texas from Xavier University.  I spent this year adjusting to a new environment, but it was a smooth transition and I did very well in my courses. I am glad that I transferred, because I love being on a larger campus with more people. I am currently majoring in Applied Arts and Sciences, with concentrations in Education and Marketing. This fall I hope to receive the SI (Supplemental Instruction) position at my university.  If I get the position I will be the tutor for an entire section of students in a History Course. Following graduation, I want to teach English abroad, because I would love to be immersed in a different culture while helping others advance in their careers and lives by learning English. My goal is to teach in the United Arab Emirates, specifically Abu Dhabi because they have an interesting way of life there and I can meet new and different people. I have other aspirations following graduation, but my main plan is to teach English abroad.  I will dedicate a lot of time this year to make this goal a reality!

I appreciate all of the donors who have given to Boys Hope Girls Hope, because without everyone’s help I would not be where I am today.  There are no words to express the gratitude that I have for Boys Hope Girls Hope.  I love that they are able to help myself and my fellow scholars!  Thank you!
