Guadalupe’s First Year at Regis Jesuit High School

My name is Guadalupe and I am a freshman at Regis Jesuit High School. Adjusting to this new environment has been very smooth with the help of Boys Hope Girls Hope. BHGH helps me achieve my academic and extracurricular goals by encouraging me to try new things and to believe in myself.

I have joined “Girls Up!,” Cookies and Canvas, and Ceramics at Regis Jesuit and am looking forward to possibly joining Cheer next fall—I’m not sure I would have had the confidence to join without the support of my fellow BHGH scholars.

I also appreciate the service opportunities provided by BHGH. For example, we served breakfast at Ronald McDonald’s House and I helped clean the offices of the Denver Dream Center. I am looking forward to volunteering at Children’s Hospital because I hope to someday work with kids who have special needs. Thank you, Boys Hope Girls Hope, for all you’ve done for me and this is only the beginning!
