Collegian Internship Program
Enabling students with career-ready skills is a key pillar in the mission of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado. Internships provide an important opportunity for college students to gain on-the-job experience, grow their network, develop industry insight, and prepare for life after graduation. Our goal is for 80% of all collegians to have an internship in their intended career field, prior to graduation.
The Internship Program is designed to place collegians in a professional environment, with an eye toward providing exposure to careers in which our collegians have expressed interest.
In order to participate in the BHGHCO Internship Program and have access to internship connections, collegians must maintain a 3.0 grade point average each semester and a minimum of at least 12-15 credit hours per semester. Each internship will last approximately one semester or eight – ten weeks, with a minimum of 100 hours worked per collegian. Collegians are expected to be available to the employer Monday through Friday during normal work hours.
