Stacey Baum, Development & Communications Associate Director, manages both the fundraising and marketing side of the organization. Her responsibilities include oversight of both the development and communications strategies, as well as event planning and execution. She builds relations with BHGHCO supporters, volunteers, corporate donors, and local media. Prior to joining BHGHCO, Stacey spent 20 years in nonprofit management, including development, communications, public relations, event planning and operations. She has served as the Executive Director of both the for profit and non-profit side of Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan’s company in Los Angeles, created and produced The Hero Dog Awards for American Humane and The Hallmark Channel, served as the head of marketing and operations for Freedom Service Dogs of America and also led the capital campaign to build a new spay/neuter clinic for The Feline Fix in north Denver. As graduate of Pepperdine University, she enjoyed a faith-based education and therefore built a career upon the premise that it is important to make a difference for others.
