Snowshoeing at Rocky Mountain National Park

The Boys Hope Girls Hope scholars visited Rocky Mountain National Park on St. Patrick’s day.  There they met with two rangers who showed them all about the winter ecology of our region.  Scholars were outfitted with snowshoes and after a short practice walking around, they headed into the beautiful wintery Rocky Mountain forest.  They had lunch out in the open and even got to slide down a hill at the end of the adventure.  Our scholars participate in these enriching activities so that they can learn outside of the classroom and expand their experiences over what they already know.
