If you are interested in volunteering, there are plenty of ways you can get involved at Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado. WAYS TO CONNECT & SERVE
HIGH SCHOOL TUTOR
We are looking for individuals to tutor in science, math and foreign languages.
The tutor’s role is to help break down assignments, provide guidance for an outline, or simply ask probing questions about the student’s notes.
Sessions will take place at Aurora Central High School, Regis Jesuit High School, or online from 3:30-6:30pm, Monday- Thursday. We are looking for individuals that would be able to commit to helping for the duration of this semester on a weekly or biweekly basis.
COLLEGIAN TUTOR
This is a great, flexible, volunteer opportunity. Once matched with a collegian, with the support of our staff, you can come up with a schedule that works for you both. Tutors are able to volunteer as much or a little as they are able. It is wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and invest in our future.
MENTOR
Mentors impact our scholars for life. Each scholar is paired with a caring and professional adult who offers guidance, trust, encouragement, and inspiration. Through a one-on-one relationship, mentors assist with life skills development and share experiences and expertise while modeling positive values.
SPECIAL TOPICS PRESENTER
Have a skill, craft, or passion for any topic you’d like to teach and pass on to our next generation? Come and share it with our scholars!
FILL SNACK PANTRY
Order off of Amazon to provide our scholars with snacks on the go for the whole school year!
SNACK & FOOD SIGNUPS
Love to bake? Looking for a way to share your baking talent? Our scholars love receiving homemade treats after school for that extra boost to get through studies! Use our SignUp Genius list to claim a slot in providing them a baked good!
OR
Provide a meal! We are looking for meal volunteers to help nourish our scholar’s bellies so they can nourish their brains while studying after school. Volunteers will bring a meal for 20 people to Aurora Central High School by 3 pm on their scheduled date. Sign up for a meal today!
CLASSROOM SUPPLIES
Help us provide supplies and materials for our scholars so they can stay focused on their studies and not worry about not having the right tools.
COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES
Let’s never forget our collegian scholars! Help us to continue the love, support, and thoughtful gestures by curating and sending out care packages to our hardworking college scholars!
YOUNG PROFESSIONAL BOARD
Join the YP Board! The Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado Young Professionals Board is a great way to not only meet new people and network with others in the Denver Metro area, but also serve your community and our scholars and collegians. Make an impact! As a Young Professional, you will:
- Serve on the committee that puts on the annual Shaken, Not Stirred Martini Party
- Speak at one of our career panels. Share your career journey with Boys Hope Girls Hope scholars!
- Attend a service activity with our scholars! Every month, our scholars volunteer and do service work.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES FACILITATOR
Bring more culture and integration with the community to our scholars by coordinating activities our scholars could engage in to grow our minds, bodies, and souls while forming relationships within our city!
INTERNSHIP or PRACTICUM
Partner with a scholar or collegian to further their hands-on career knowledge and growth while also enhancing your own business productivity; win, win! Ask us if we have a scholar or collegian who falls within your area of expertise.
